At the heart of it, CitySpace’s central goal is to rethink the rationale behind how cities are designed and organized – be it in deciding what belongs where or who should reside in which part of the city. CitySpace follows a multi-dimensional approach towards addressing gaps in urban spatial organization, particularly in how it affects the livelihoods of individuals using non-automotive transport such as bicycles. The project will begin with a fundraising initiative aimed at raising donations to help individuals from underserved purchase and distribute bicycles to navigate their daily lives better.
Building on this foundation, CitySpace will work towards actively researching current trends in how urban areas are designed and divided, drawing attention to innovative, safe, and sustainable frameworks of infrastructure development and resource allocation. Through its interventions, this humble endeavor is committed to creating more accessible, equitable, and healthy urban environments, thereby helping us envision more inclusive cities for the future.
