CitySpace is the passion project and vision of Yash Vardhan Agarwal. Currently a student at the Woodstock School in Mussoorie, India, Yash is deeply committed to using his interests in engineering and leadership skills to make a tangible difference in the lives of the people around him. Under the IB curriculum, at the higher level, he studies mathematics, economics, and physics, and his desire to apply the theoretical ideas he learns is supplemented by his ardent hands-on involvement in community service and extracurricular activities at Woodstock.
As the co-founder of the Hostel Recreational Council at Woodstock, Yash dedicates time to fostering student well-being through events and fundraising efforts and finds power in bringing people together and forging a sense of community in every space he is in. Similarly, as the co-leader of the Greenify Project initiated at his school, Yash has been able to combine environmental awareness with actionable strategies that seek to prepare better for local challenges like landslides through sustainable interventions.
Beyond this, Yash also dedicates time to playing basketball, independent research, writing, and volunteering. With CitySpace, he hopes to bring his multifaceted skillset and create urban solutions that reimagine cities as spaces for connection, opportunity, and continued growth, thereby learning and growing along with the project.
